Core Team

Based in Malta, she has both professional and personal experience as an expat, having lived and worked across the UK, United States, Scandinavia, and multiple European jurisdictions.

She holds a Master’s degree in Property Finance and Law from Cass Business School and has worked across real estate, venture capital, and international business operations. Her areas of focus include high-net-worth relocation, European residency frameworks, and the practical tax and legal considerations of operating across borders.

Gillian combines formal training with direct, lived experience, having navigated the same relocation and structuring challenges faced by her readers. Her work is focused on making international moves more efficient, transparent, and predictable for both individuals and businesses. She is also a Reuters-accredited journalist.

Jelena has advised individuals and businesses on structuring their tax position and residency in a way that is both compliant and practical.

She works closely with licensed tax and legal professionals to ensure clients receive compliant and reliable guidance. Her focus is on making complex financial matters clear and actionable, covering taxation, employment frameworks, EU funding, and financial planning for expats.
