Spotlight Events

Fairyland – Santa’s City (Valletta & Floriana)

One of Malta’s signature Christmas attractions, Fairyland turns Pjazza Tritoni and the Floriana Granaries into a festive theme park from 5 December to 4 January. Expect a Ferris wheel, Santa’s House, pop-up food stands and family-friendly rides. Entry is free, with individual attractions ticketed. Evenings are especially atmospheric, and advance booking for popular rides is recommended.

Gozo’s famous nativity village returns from 14 December to 4 January. Spread across 20,000 square metres, this immersive open-air experience features artisans, shepherds, animals, and the Holy Family in a recreated Bethlehem. It is a must-visit for families and anyone looking for a traditional Christmas experience with a local touch.


Magro Christmas Family Fest (Xewkija, Gozo)


Held at Savina Artisan Centre from Saturday 6th to Wednesday 24th of December, this festival includes artisan stalls, interactive children’s activities, rides and seasonal food. It is relaxed, easy to navigate and ideal for families based in Gozo or visiting for the weekend.


Sliema Christmas Market

Running from 1 to 24 December, the Sliema promenade hosts a long seafront market offering crafts, gifts, seasonal treats and mulled drinks. With harbour views and extended opening hours, it’s perfect for a festive evening stroll.


Woodland Christmas Market (Ta’ Qali National Park)

Between 6 and 14 December, Ta’ Qali’s green spaces host an eco-themed Christmas market with craft stalls, live music, children’s workshops and appearances by Santa. A great alternative to busy city events.
